After winning his District title and taking second at the Regional meet, East Ridge standout Axel Sallault capped off an exceptional 2025 cross-country season with a 2nd-place finish at the Florida State Championship in Tallahassee.
Racing on the demanding course at Apalachee Regional Park, Axel delivered another impressive performance, crossing the line in 15:27.5—just a few seconds behind the state champion.
This result crowns a breakthrough season where he set a new personal best of 15:01, establishing himself as one of the top high-school runners in Florida. His consistency from race to race highlights both his work ethic and his growing maturity as a competitor.
As the cross-country season closes, Axel now turns his focus to the Indoor Track season, where he will compete under Performance Academy. With his current form and momentum, expectations are high for strong performances on the track in the 1600m and 3200m.
